The Springbok · Stories
What these stories are for
Sample post. This is not a report, and it does not quote anyone. Delete it when a real story is ready.
This page is for honest writing about the team and the land behind it. Wins and losses. The standard the side sets, and the weeks it falls short. The country as people actually know it: beautiful, colourful, diverse, harsh, and also excellent.
A story here should be useful to a supporter in the UK. It can be about a match, a player, a place, or a watch-along. It should not pretend a hard thing is a paradise, and it should not turn a rugby result into a political slogan. Potential, not propaganda. Respect the opposition and the referee.
No invented quotes. If someone said it, they said it, and you have a proper source. If you don’t, leave it out.
Adding a post
Create a new Markdown file in src/content/stories/. The name becomes the address. Each file needs a title, a short description, a date and placeholder: false once it is real. Rebuild the site and the post appears on Stories, on the home page, and in the RSS feed.
Photographs of people need their consent before they go anywhere near the gallery or a story. That includes parental consent if a child can be recognised.
